Measuring current-use pesticides in air: A comparison of silicon carbide foam to XAD as passive air samplers

Silicon carbide foams have recently proved its efficiency as newly introduced passive sampler for air monitoring. The aim of this work is to assess the field potential SiC in comparison well-known XAD®-2 resins and improve performance by grafting Nitrogen-doped carbon (N-C) nanotubes (N-CNT) at several temperatures. results generated showed that grafted are prone be highly competitive with commonly used gave better than regular foams. Moreover, obtained among others both 450 °C N-C 900 N-CNT allowed detection highest amount pesticides could considered new adsorbent air.
